What people are saying...
The recent passage of Bill 168 (legislation that makes acts of workplace violence illegal under the Occupational Health & Safety Act) prompted us to seek guidance on how to empower those wishing to exercise their rights under this Bill and ensure that they were treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve. Our search led us to Ms. Valerie Cade, CSP - a workplace bullying expert who has earned worldwide acclaim for her ground-breaking work in this field. Fortunately for us, all the stars lined up and we were able to add Ms. Cade to our agenda - but as we were to find out, hers was the star that would shine brightest among our keynote guests.
Scheduled for a 90 minute address on Sunday morning, Ms. Cade did an amazing job at keeping the audience attentive and engaged - so much so that they were left asking for more time. Speaking from the heart with sincerity, honesty and genuine passion she shared both her knowledge and unique gift of communication to connect with each member. Dealing with a difficult and sensitive topic with the skill of Wayne Gretzky stick-handling a puck, it was obvious that Valerie had done her homework and had a very real understanding of those in the room. Interspersed with keen insights and real-life tips, she was able to weave in humour and anecdotes from her own life as she walked us down a path paved with information, past the signpost marked inspiration and to our destination of implementation. These ingredients came together like magic in a recipe for success that resulted in a five star presentation.
Energetic, encouraging, inspiring, warm, caring, funny and eager to listen; Valerie is an incredible person whose spirit, gifts and talents are well-suited to every audience. She took the time to learn about our members and customized her program in such a way that it would be real and meaningful for all - and her efforts clearly paid off.
Following her presentation, Valerie graciously agreed to stay with us and took the time to speak with all those who approached her - another example of her approachability and willingness to help.
From the time that we first connected, to co-ordinating this presentation, to doing a post-Conference follow-up, working with Valerie and her wonderful assistant Sheila has been both delightful and rewarding. Valerie delivered on all promises and exceeded all expectations - as evidenced by the consistently positive comments on our feedback sheets. It is with this in mind that I heartily recommend Valerie as an excellent choice to address your members.

It has been our distinct pleasure to have presented Valerie Cade as a business speaker at the 2008 Virginia State SHRM Conference. She offered proven ideas to “Bully- Proof” workplaces and her participant evaluations were the highest of any speaker at our conference. Val’s ability to establish rapport and engage her audience is both effective and energizing.
Many of the seminar participants report their total satisfaction with the abilities of Valerie Cade to “Bully-Proof the Workplace”. In addition, the practical implementation plans and advice she gave were the practical “take-aways” that everyone remarked positively about. Having this session certified for educational credits was fantastic.
I would highly recommend Valerie Cade as an exceptionally qualified speaker on a number of business topics. I am confident that every audience would find value and inspiration in her presentations.
P.S. Valerie also filled in at the last minute due to a speaker cancellation and delivered “How to Build Trust With People You Don’t Understand, Don’t Connect With, But Have to Work With” to a packed room (word got out!). She received a perfect score and inspired us to go back to work energized, confident and able!
